Box Score 2 Alma, MI – Alma College Tennis was in action on Saturday, hosting The University of Olivet in MIAA conference play. Alma was victorious on both the men's and women's sides, 7-0 and 6-1 respectively.

On the men's side, Alma opened doubles play with a 6-4 win from
Jake Lasceski and
Ashton Trnka at No. 1. The No. 2 pairing of
Alex Jonas and
John Laxton won 7-6, and
Eli Festerling and
Christian Beyers won 7-5 at No. 3 to complete a clean sweep.
In singles play,
Jake Lasceski won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1. Trnka was victorious by scores of 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2, and Beyers scored a dominant 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 3. Festerling scored a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 4, and
Jacob McNew won 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5. Rounding things out,
Daniel Hickey won 7-5, 7-6.
Alma 6, Olivet 1
On the women's side,
Karly Kushner and
Jada Zerlaut won 6-1 at No. 1.
Holly Hall and
Kayden Alli won 6-3 at No. 2, and it was
Laney Voisinet and
Salma Laraichi who won 7-5 at No. 3 to complete the sweep.
In singles action, Kushner won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1, and Zerlaut won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2. Hall was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 3, with Alli retiring in set two at No. 4.
Izzy Troost was victorious 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5, and Laraichi won 6-3, 6-2 to close things out at No. 6.
Alma's men move to 2-11, 1-3 in conference play, while the women move to 6-7, 1-4 in the MIAA.
The Scots are back in action on April 19 at Trine.
