Pittsburgh, PA – Alma College Men's Soccer was on the road Friday to kick off a three-day trip to Pennsylvania over the weekend. The Scots were narrowly defeated by La Roche University, 1-0.
 
The game was evenly matched throughout, with the shot totals at 8-7 LRU. Both teams managed four shots on target, and the Scots were held without a corner kick. With the margins so thin, all it took was the go-ahead goal by the home side just under six minutes into the second half to decide the outcome. Alma was unable to equalize, and the Scots picked up their first loss of the season.
 
Bradshaw Uhlmann started in net, playing 71 minutes, and making a pair of saves. Grant Kaifas came on in relief, stopping the lone shot he faced 18 minutes of action.
 
Alma drops to 0-1-1 on the season, and looks forward to a matchup with Thiel on Sunday.
