2021 Alumni Ralston to Lead Tennis Programs

Alma, MI – Alma College Athletics is proud to announce Brandon Ralston '21 as the next Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach, as announced by Interim Athletics Director Kiana Verdugo-Maday.

"We are excited to welcome Brandon back to Alma College." said Verdugo-Maday. "His head coaching experience within the MIAA set him apart from a competitive candidate pool. We look forward to the direction that he will take the tennis program in."

Ralston spent the last three seasons as the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach of MIAA opponent University of Olivet. While at Olivet, Ralston headed up a rebuilding effort, recruiting 30 student-athletes to the program in his three cycles.

"I am extremely grateful to the search committee, and Kiana Verdugo-Maday, for this opportunity." Said Ralston. "I am beyond excited to be back home, and to share a place that is so special to me with the next generation of Scots tennis student-athletes. I look forward to improving the already remarkable Alma experience."

Prior to Olivet, Ralston spent one season as an assistant coach with Alma College. He also recorded coaching stops at Saint Johns Area Public School, and Cadillac Area Public Schools.

While at Alma, Ralston was a four-year member of the tennis program, and a three-year captain for the Scots. He was an All-MIAA selection in his senior season.

A native of Cadillac, Michigan, Ralston graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from Alma in 2021.
