ALMA, Mich. – Alma College Athletics hosted the annual 2025 Klenk Memorial Hall of Fame Golf Outing on Friday, June 6th at Pine River Country Club, home of the Alma College Golf teams. On a sunny and partly cloudy day with temperatures in the 70's, birdies were being scored, and memories were being made.
With many former teammates reuniting and newer alumni connecting with those from before, 25 teams were brought together to support Alma College Athletics and the future generations of student-athletes to come. Even though the outing and players were happy to support the Athletics department, there of course was a competitiveness bringing former athletes back to where they once competed day in and day out. The winning foursome of Jim Bouchard, Scott Heymoss, Ryan Holzinger and Griff Woodman posted an Impressive 54 (-18) to take the medalist honors for the 2025 outing.
"The 2025 Klenk Memorial Hall of Fame Outing was a tremendous success for everyone involved. It was a wonderful day worthy of Bill Klenk and his incredible contributions to Alma College Athletics. We were also able to honor ten Hall of Fame members who attended the event. President Odenwald made an appearance which was greatly appreciated as he voiced his support during his first week on campus. Personally, its great a great feeling seeing all the alumni. I want to thank all of our sponsors, participants, and the coaches & staff that make this event successful each year" said Klenk committee chair and head golf coach JT Cleveland.
The 2025 edition of the Klenk Golf Outing saw a new version that collaborated with the Alma College Athletic Hall of Fame, in honor of Bill Klenk and the other outstanding athletes that have been inducted throughout the years to honor the legacies that have been paved and will continue to provide for the future Scots athletes. The 2025 Hall of Fame class will be inducted on Friday, September 19th, with more details to follow shortly regarding the prestigious event.
