It took until the 5th inning for the scoring to start in game one. Alma threatened several times, but couldn't break through. Meanwhile, Morgan Westall cut through the Britons lineup like a hot knife through butter. In the 5th, Alma loaded up the bases, and a Peyton Fether single scored McKenna Salley. A bases loaded walk from Morgan Brandau got Alma a 2-0 lead, and a groundout from Julia Duncan saw another run score. Finally, Sophia Somerset singled home another pair of runs, putting the visitors up 5-0.

Albion tried to spark a comeback, but it was quelled after a pair of runs in the 6th. Alma went on to win 5-2.

Jordyn Porter, Reneigh Sandmann, and McKenna Salley all recorded two-hit games.

Westall (5-6) pitched all 7.0 innings in the win, allowing three hits and striking out seven.

The game steadied at 5-0 until the 7th, when the home team poured on another five runs. The contest ended 10-0.
