Alma, MI – Alma College Men's Tennis welcomed Earlham College on Friday evening for a non-conference contest. Alma was defeated by a final of 5-2.
Earlham took all three doubles matches to claim the doubles team point.
In singles play, Alma narrowly missed out on the win, with four of the six singles matchups needing a tiebreaker.
Jake Lasceski and
Eli Festerling each pushed their games to the limit, falling short in the tiebreaker.
Meanwhile,
Tatenda Mukudu and
Daniel Hickey both won their tiebreakers. Mukudu won at #4 singles 6-2, 4-6, 1-0
(10-8) . Hickey collected a victory at #6 singles, winning 2-6, 6-3, 1-0
(10-3) .
The Scots look forward to their first MIAA conference matchup against Hope College on March 25.
