Holland, MI - Alma College Men's Soccer was on the road on Tuesday night, taking on Hope College. The Flying Dutchmen rolled to a 4–0 victory on the night.
Hope took the lead in the fourth minute, when Jackson Mindling scored a rebound from nine yards out. The Flying Dutchmen struck again in the 17th minute courtesy of Seth Walters, who capitalized on a rebound from a Josh Weigel shot to make it 2–0. Opting to press their advantage, Hope added a third goal before halftime when Owen Ceithaml curled one in directly off a corner kick in the 34th minute. A second goal by Walters in the 58th minute sealed the outcome, his left-footed finish piercing through traffic from 18 yards out.
Offensively, Hope outshot Alma 25–5, including 12 on target to Alma's 3, and limited the visitors to only three corner kicks.
Landon Soule made eight saves in the loss.
Alma slips to 6–8–2 and 0–4–1 in conference action, and returns home to take on Calvin University on Saturday in their home finale.
