Earlham, IN – Alma College Tennis was in action on Saturday in Indiana. The Scots were felled on both the men's and women's sides, with the final scores at 4-3.
For the women, Earlham took the doubles point. The duo of
Leah Wronikowski and
Karly Kushner lost 7-5 at #1. The #2 pairing of
Kayden Alli and
Izzy Troost lost 6-3, and the #3 pair of
Holly Hall and
Mellany Hall fell 7-6.
In singles play, Kushner won at #1, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3. Wronikowski lost at #2 7-5, 1-6, 2-6.
Holly Hall was taken down 6-2, 6-4 at #3.
Sophia Hauffe lost 7-5, 6-4 at #4, and Alli won 6-1, 7-5 at #5. Troost won 6-3, 6-4 at #6.
On the men's side, Alma won the doubles point.
Jake Lasceski and
Ashton Trnka lost 6-4 at #1 doubles.
Alex Jonas and
John Laxton won 6-3 at #2, and #3 the duo of
Christian Beyers of
Eli Festerling won 6-3.
In singles play, Lasceski lost 6-2, 6-4 at #1. At #2, Trnka fell 6-1, 6-1, and Jonas lost 6-0, 6-2 at #3. At #4 singles, Festerling won 6-1, 6-1. Beyers lost 6-0, 6-1 at #5, and
Jacob McNew won at #6 in the tiebreaker 2-6, 6-3, 10-7.
The Scots are back in action tomorrow at Franklin College.
