GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Alma College Men's Basketball team fell short against the Calvin Knights 88-64. Despite Alma's strong start and close first half, Calvin's efficient shooting allowed them to pull away in the second half. 

To start the game, Alma jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead with back-to-back three pointers from Jeremy Rosario and Paul Gadde. Calvin then countered with seven points of their own to erase the deficit. The Knights would continue rolling into the halftime break with a lead of 44 to 36. Alma shot an impressive 53.8% from the field in the first half, but it was rivaled by Calvin, who shot 50%. 
 
The Knights opened the second half with a 12-2 run, highlighted by a dunk and three pointers. The Scots hot start was stifled in the second half due to 31% shooting and 6 turnovers. Calvin would outscore Alma 44-28 in the second half to seal the 88-64 victory. 

Jeremy Rosario led Alma with 22 points, including a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line and three three-pointers. Logan St. Martin contributed 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists while providing hustle on defense. Paul Gadde added 8 points and 4 rebounds, hitting two three-pointers early in the game. 

The Scots will look to regroup as they seek their first win of the season. The Scots will host the University of Olivet on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
