HOLLAND, Mich. - The Alma College Men's Basketball team took on Hope College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) matchup on Saturday afternoon as DeVos Fieldhouse. Despite their efforts, the Scots fell to the Flying Dutchmen 95-46.
Alma started the game with a strong defensive presence, forcing an early turnover and tough contested shots while jumping to a 7-0 lead.
Jeremy Rosario led the charge with a 13-point performance, including two three-pointers in the first half. However, Hope responded with an offensive attack and capitalized on the Scots turnovers to take a commanding 52-30 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Hope extended their lead with efficient shooting and points in the paint. For Alma,
Raine Rodich had 9 points off the bench.
Donovan Collins chipped in five points and grabbed two rebounds. Despite Alma's efforts, they struggled offensively from beyond the arc, shooting 13.3% (4 for 30) and were unable to match the opponent's offensive scoring.
The Scots will look to regroup as they travel to the MTI Center to take on #4 Trine University on Wednesday, January 15th. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
