Alma, MI – Alma College Men's Tennis continued MIAA play when they hosted Hope College on Saturday at the Superior Street Tennis Complex. Alma was defeated 9-0.
In doubles play, the #1 doubles team of
Jake Lasceski and
Ashton Trnka were defeated 8-3. Falling by similar score was the #2 doubles team of
Walker Michaels and
Caleb Schuring. At #3 doubles, Tatenda Mukudu and
John Laxton fell 8-4.
Turning to singles play, Lasceski fell 6-2, 6-2 at #1 singles. At #2,
August Sack was dropped 6-3, 6-0. #3 singles saw Schuring fall 6-2, 6-0. Mukudu was blanked in the first set 6-0, fighting hard but falling 6-3 in the second set at #4.
Noah Festerling was felled 6-0, 6-0 at #5, and Trnka was taken down by scores of 6-3, 6-3.
Alma turns their attention to Albion College on Tuesday.
