Kaminske Equals Single Game Threes Record in Loss to Oberlin

Alma, MI – Alma College Women's Basketball wrapped up their initial slate of nonconference play on Tuesday, welcoming Oberlin College. The Yeowomen took down the Scots by a final of 79-70.
 
Oberlin got off to a hot start, taking an early 10-3 lead. Alma answered with a 7-0 run to tie the game up at 10-10. The game was level into the final minutes of the opening period, when Oberlin pulled out a 5-point gap, leading 22-17 after one. The Yeowomen went to work defensively in the second. Oberlin worked their way to a 10 point lead, and looked to be on the verge of blowing the game open. The Scots were able to rip off a 13-3 run in the closing minutes of the half, and leveled the score heading into the break at 35-35.
 
Alam took their first lead of the night with a made three pointer by Molly Duerloo. Alma led by as much as 9 before the Oberlin offense caught fire. Similar to the Scots run to tie the game at the end of the first half. The Yeowomen narrowed the Alma lead to just 1-point at 57-56. The visitors opened the 4th quarter on a 9-0 run, and despite Alma's best efforts, they weren't able to climb back into the game, falling 79-70.
 
The biggest positive in the loss was Cadence Kaminske. The sophomore led all scorers with 26 points, and tied the Alma College single game made three pointers record, with 8 made triples on 10 attempts.
 
Brooke LeRoux (19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) and Emmerson Goodin (5 points, 10 rebounds) were also key contributors.
 
Alma is back in action against Adrian College on December 7th to open MIAA conference play.
