Trine, IN – Alma College Men's Tennis headed down to Indiana on Monday in a make-up match with Trine. Alma was defeated 9-0.
Doubles
Trine swept doubles play to open the match. August Sack and Caleb Schuring were defeated 8-2 at #1 Doubles, with Thomas Manko and Walker Michaels were defeated by an identical margin at #2 Doubles. The #3 Doubles pairing of Jake Lasceski and Ashton Trnka came close to a win, falling by a margin of 8-6.
Singles
Sack fell at #1 Singles to Cole Goodman 6-3, 6-0. Schuring was dropped at #2 Singles by Andrew Spirrison 6-0, 6-0. Lasceski droped a 6-2, 6-2 decision at #3 Singles to Elijah Schilthuis. #4 Singles saw Aaron Streit take down Manko 6-1, 6-1. At #6 Singles, Caleb Morris defeated Trnka 6-0, 6-0. The closest match of the day came at #5 Singles, when Michaels fell to Drew Dixon via tiebreaker 4-6, 6-3, 6-10.
The men have one more conference match remaining, when they close out MIAA play against Adrian tomorrow at home.
