Warren then singled to right field and both runners were able to score before Warren was thrown out at second to end the inning. After two, the Scots held a 9-0 lead.
Alma would be held off the board briefly until they were able to add onto their lead in the fifth inning. Dalton Hall and Warren both drew walks early in the fifth to put Alma on base with an out. Tuttle then stole second during the next at bat and Carnicom was walked again to load the bases once again for Alma. Grunwald added onto his RBIs for the game by adding another two on a single to right field, which extended the Alma lead to 13-0.
