Naperville, IL – Alma Volleyball hit the road on Friday, heading to North Central for a weekend doubleheader in Naperville. The Scots played the hosting Cardinals on Friday and were defeated 3-0.

Alma dropped the first set by a score of 25-15. The Scots would inch closer in the following sets but drop them both as well, 25-16 and 25-17. Despite being outkilled in the contest, Alma did show up at the net defensively, notching 12 total blocks to North Central's 4.

Ashlyn Michalski took her turn to shine offensively, nailing 7 kills and hitting a red hot .417 in the contest. She was joined by Callie Smith, who also had 7 kills, and led the team with 10 total points. Megan Greenup added 14 assists to her season total, with Ashley Miller throwing in 11 as well. Lexi Dykstra totaled 11 digs, with Kolbey Boyd earning 9 digs to go with 2 aces on the night as well.

Alma will be back in action at North Central tomorrow, as they take on Wisconsin-River Falls.
