Scots Win Inaugural AL Cup

Alma, Mich. - The Alma College golf teams open the season with a victory over the Albion Britons at the Pine River Country Club. The format of today's match was a modified Ryder Cup, where teams competed 6 holes alternate shot, 6 holes scramble, and 6 holes of own ball (men vs men, women vs women). It was the inaugural AL Cup Match against Albion.

The Scots won five of the eight matches today with a final score of 69-67. The victory was secured by the final group of Ty Kennard and Ella Corson. The pair picked up 2 points that were crucial in the team's victory. The leading group for the Scots were Anna Shoemaker and Trent Lashuay who won their match 10-5. Junior Morgan Yates from the women's golf team said "Today was a great start to our season and I am looking forward to what is to come for the program."
