Box Score ALBION, Mich. - The Alma College volleyball team fell in three sets (25-18, 25-21, 25-15) to Albion College in the MIAA postseason tournament third place game. The Scots finish their season with a 4-7 record and a fourth place finish in the tournament.
Sara Majerle led the team with 13 kills and nine digs. Haley Novak added 17 assists and six digs. McKenzie Smith also recorded eight kills.
Alma and Albion played in a tight first set until the Britons went on a late run to take the opening frame. Albion held a slight lead throughout the second set and was able to hold it the rest of the way to go up 2 sets to none. The Britons ran away with the final set to win the match.
Before the game the MIAA annouced its All-Conference teams. Majerle earned her third All-MIAA honor as a first team honoree while Novak earned her third all-conference accolade as a second-team honoree.
The Scots will return for the fall 2021 season.
