Angola, IN- The Alma College men's tennis team fell to the Trine University Thunder in its first conference match of the year on Tuesday (Mar. 30). Alma would pick up one victory in the singles match, as the Thunder earned the 8-1 victory.
Brendon Murdie was the victor at No. 4 singles for the Scots, defeating his Trine opponent two sets to one. After dropping the first set, Murdie took the last two 6-3, 10-4. Murdie and Caleb Schuring lost a tough doubles match 8-7, as did Walker Michaels and Merrick Bay.
Alma will return home to face Kalamazoo College on Friday (Apr. 9) at 4:00 p.m.
