Alma, Mich.- The Alma College men's tennis team fell to Spring Arbor University on Friday (Mar. 12) in their first outdoor home match of the year. The Scots won two of three doubles matches while Spring Arbor won one doubles and all six singles matches to earn the 7-2 victory.
In doubles action, junior Brendon Murdie and freshman Caleb Schuring defeated their opponents from Spring Arbor 8-5. The other victory for Alma came from freshman Walker Michaels and sophomore Merrick Bay. The duo won their match 8-6.
The Scots will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 20) when they travel to Kalamazoo College. The match will begin at 2:00 p.m.
