Box Score ALMA, Mich. – The Alma College men's basketball team traveled to 10th-ranked Elmhurst (Ill.) University on Tuesday, Nov. 23. The Bluejays came out victorious against the Scots ,by a final score of 94-54.
Elmhurst got out to a fast start, grabbing an early 9-0 lead and going into halftime up 21. The Bluejays went on another 9-0 run to start the second half and eventually extended their lead to 32.
Alma outrebounded the Bluejays by a total of 42-39, including 16 offensive boards.
Brandon Rake led the Scots with 15 points while collecting seven rebounds. Gabe Bourdeau also totaled seven rebounds. Jack Poling came off the bench and scored seven points.
Alex King followed behind Poling with six points of his own as a reserve. Alma outscored the opponent on second chance points, 23-9.
The men's basketball team will be back in action this Saturday, Nov. 27, as they travel to Wisconsin to take on Wisconsin-Stout. This is their first match up with the Blue Devils since the 2019-20 season. The game is slated for a 4 p.m. tip-off.
