Scots fall to LTU

ALMA, Mich. — The Alma College Tennis teams faced Lawrence Technological University on Saturday, Oct. 16. The men's team fell to the Blue Devils, 8-1, and the women's team ended 8-2, with LTU on top, to finish their fall season.

Marrick Bay picked up the lone win on the men's side at a score of 6-2, 6-3. Liz Hill and Kayla Weller played an intense doubles match for the women to get an 8-5 win. Senior Emma Lloyd closed out an undefeated fall season in singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win at 6 singles for the women.

"We played well in spurts and we have showed improvement as we closed out our fall season. This is one of the better teams we will play all year, but these are also the matches that make us better and often the scores do not show how well we actually played," said Head Coach Jared Guy.

The Scots continue play in the spring of 2022 against Anderson University, on Feb. 19.
