Volleyball Rolls Past Saint Mary's

South Bend, Ind. - The Alma College volleyball team earned a 3-0 conference victory on Saturday (Oct. 12) over the Saint Mary's Belles. With the win Alma moves to 2-2 in the conference, while Saint Mary's drops to 1-2. In the first set the Scots won 25-23, in set two the Scots won 25-21. In set three, the Scots pulled away, winning 25-14.  

The Scots were led by sophomore Sara Majerle (Rockford, Mich. / Rockford) with 15 kills and senior Georgia Miller (Georgetown, Kentucky/Scott County) with 14 kills. Freshman Rachael Parrett (Gladwin, Mich./Gladwin) had seven kills, as well. Junior Haley Novak (Midland, Mich./Bullock Creek) led the Scots with 36 assists. Four Scots had a double digit dig total: Miller, Majerle, Novak, and freshman Natalie DelaColina (Chicago, Ill. / Oswego). Majerle and Novak tied for the team lead with 13. 

Up next for the Scots is a home match against Adrian College on Wednesday (Oct. 16). The match will begin at 6:30 pm from Art Smith Arena.
