Jackson, Mich. - The Alma College men's golf team finished 11th at the Irish Hills Invitational on Saturday, September 15 with a score of 327 (+39).
Alma was led by Eli Pinter (Muskegon, Mich./ Reeths-Puffer), who shot a 79 (+7) and landed in a tie for 28th. Senior Kyle Bodkins (Ada, Mich./ Forest Hills Central) shot an 81 (+9) to finish 41st, while Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich./ Big Rapids) scored an 82 (+10) and tied for 44th. Bennett Schmitt (Frankfort, Mich./ Frankfort) and Luke Lamoreaux (Sterling Heights, Mich./ Sterling Heights-Stevenson) rounded out the day for the Scots, with scores of 85 (+13) and 95 (+23), respectively.
The Scots will see action again at the second MIAA Jamboree on Saturday, September 22. Tee time is set for 1 p.m. at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.
