Men's tennis falls at Trine

Angola, Ind. - The Alma College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Trine University on Friday (April 14) afternoon at the Ryan Tennis Center

Alma (5-10 overall, 1-4 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) was led by senior Grant Hill (Caro, Mich./Caro), who factored into both of the Scots' points in the match. Hill defeated Spenser Gilbert, 6-1, 7-5, at No. 1 singles for his second straight win at the top flight. Hill also teamed up with junior Noah Ackerman (Munising, Mich./Munising) to defeat the Thunder's Blake Trusty and Jacob Weiss at No. 2 doubles.

Trine took two of the three doubles matches to open the contest and won No. 2-6 singles in straight sets.

Alma will travel to Hope College on Tuesday, April 25, for a 4:00 p.m. match.
