Spring Arbor, Mich. - The Alma College men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback to Spring Arbor University on Friday (March 24) afternoon as the Scots wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule.
Alma (4-6 overall) was swept in the doubles matches and picked up its only point in the match at No. 5 singles, where junior Noah Ackerman (Munising, Mich./Munising) posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Josh Scott.
The Scots are now idle until Saturday, April 1, when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., to open Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play at Calvin College. The match is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
