Men's Golf Closes Day One of MIAA Championship Weekend

Battle Creek, Mich. - Alma College men's golf shot a combined 346 on day one of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship on Friday (Oct. 13). Freshman Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich./Big Rapids), led the way for the Scots with an 82.

What Happened

  • Juniors Bennett Schmitt (Frankfort, Mich./Frankfort) and Kyle Bodkins (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Central) finished just one stroke apart, with Schmitt shooting an 86.
  • Freshman Reese Middleton (Perry, Mich./Perry) shot a 91.

What's Next

The Scots will continue play on Saturday, October 14 in the final day of the MIAA championship weekend. Tee time is set for 10:00 a.m.
