Battle Creek, Mich. - The Alma College golf team began the 2016 season with the Lou Collins Invitational at Bedford Valley Golf Course on Friday morning. After Day 1, the Scots sit in ninth place with a total score of 318 strokes, just one stroke behind Albion College.
Senior Alec Genter (Clarkston, Mich.) finished the day tied for eleventh with a score of +2 (74). He is three strokes behind the three golfers in first place who share a score of -1. He also made four birdies on the day and led the field in scoring on par 4 holes at -2.
