Holland, Mich. - The Alma College men's tennis team fell to Wabash College by a 7-2 margin on Saturday (April 9) morning in the MIAA-NCAC Challenge at Hope College. The Scots, with a record of 5-6 overall, have now lost three straight.
Alma picked up a win at No. 1 doubles, where the team of senior Jared Guy (Portland, Mich./Portland) and junior Bryan Schutte (Jenison, Mich./Jenison) defeated Michael Makio and William Reifeis by an 8-5 margin. In singles play, junior Grant Hill (Caro, Mich./Caro) was the lone winner for Alma, posting a 6-2, 6-1, victory over Krill Ivaschchenko at No. 4 singles.
The Scots will return to conference play on Wednesday, April 13, when they host Olivet College. Match time is slated for 4:00 p.m. at the Alma College Tennis Courts.
