Men's tennis blanks Albion

Alma, Mich. - The Alma College men's tennis team snapped a two-match losing streak on Wednesday (April 27) afternoon, defeating Albion College by a 9-0 margin at the Alma College Tennis Courts. The Scots improved to 7-8 overall and 2-4 in the MIAA with the victory.

The Scots swept all three doubles matches to open the contest and won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.

There was excitement at the No. 1 singles matchup, where senior Jared Guy (Portland, Mich./Portland) took the opening set from Albion's Ross Kynast, 6-3, but fell in the second set, 6-4. IN the final set, Guy prevailed by a 7-6 margin, winning the tiebreaker, 7-1.

Alma closes out the 2016 season on Friday, April 29, when it travels to Trine University for a 4:00 p.m. match.
