Battle Creek, Mich. - Alec Genter (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) finished the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships in sixth place with a 151 +7 and was named the to All-MIAA Second Team as the Alma College men's golf team placed seventh in the Fall Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship at the Battle Creek Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
Kyle Bodkins (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Central) finished tied for 26th with a 163 +19 followed by Sam Struble (Frankenmuth, Mich./Frankenmuth) tied for 37th with a 171 +27, Bennett Schmitt (Frankfort, Mich./Frankfort) in 41st with a 175 +31 and Mitchell Haines (Mt. Pleasant, Mich./Mt. Pleasant) in 42nd with a 176 +32.
Hope, Calvin, Kalamazoo and Trine have all qualified for the Spring MIAA Championship where the winner earns a berth in the NCAA Division III Golf Championships.
