Making their return to the postseason for the first time since the 2011 season, the Alma College Men's Tennis team hit the road on Thursday to take on top-seeded Kalamazoo College in the MIAA Semifinals. The 77-time defending MIAA Champions proved too much for the Scots at Stowe Stadium, handing Alma the 5-0 loss on Thursday.
After winning two-straight conferences matches to qualify for the tournament, Alma ends the season with a 6-11 overall record and 3-3 mark in league play, tieing its best conference record since the 2011 season.
With the win, the Hornets advance to take on the winner of #3 Adrian and #2 Calvin, a match that will take place today in Grand Rapids at 4:00 p.m.
