The Alma College Men's Tennis team finished up their Spring Break trip on Wednesday when they traveled to the University of St. Francis (IN) for the week's finale. The Scots found success as they won by a score of 5-4 to improve to 3-3 on the young season.
Alma won one out of three doubles matches and then four of six singles matches to capture the close victory.

Doubles
Alma's #1 team of So. Bryan Schutte (Jenison /Jenison) and Sr. Trent Pontious (Caledonia/Caledonia) defeated Nathan Barger and Matt Stallman (9-8 (5)) for the sole victory.
#2 team of Jr. Jared Guy (Portland/Portland) and So. Grant Hill (Caro/Caro) lost to Payton Selking and Tate Dishman (8-1), while at #3, Fr.Luke Van Fleet(Rockford/Rockford) and So. Damien Arthur (Allegan/Allegan) were defeated by Daniel Harrold and Tyler Bougher (8-5).
Singles
The Scots defeated the Cougars by a margin of 4-2 in singles to finish off the impressive win. At #1, So. Bryan Schutte (Jenison/Jenison) was defeated by Barger (3-6, 4-6), while #2 saw Pontious lose to Stallman (1-6, 0-6). At #3 Guy won by a score of 7-5, 6-3 over Dishman and #4 Hill bested Harrold (6-2, 6-4).
At #5, Van Fleet won over Bougher 6-0, 6-2 and finally, #6 Fr. Noah Ackerman (Munising/Munising) triumphed over John Richter (6-4, 6-4).
The Scots return home and take on Lawrence Tech University (OH) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon at Stone Recreation Center.
