Holland, Mich. - The Alma College men's golf team wrapped up the 2015 campaign on Tuesday (Oct. 6) afternoon, playing in the final MIAA Jamboree of the year at Wuskohan Players Club in Holland. The Scots posted a team score of 330 to finish eighth in the event and eighth overall in the MIAA standings.
Junior Alec Genter (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) recorded a 75 during his round to pace the Scots and tie for 13th overall at four-under par. Trine's Cody Knapp was the medalist with a low score of 70, good for one-under par.
Calvin won the event by eight strokes with a score of 292, but fell short of capturing the MIAA title. Hope won the overall championship with a combined score of 2418, five strokes better than Calvin.
The Scots are set to graduate five seniors - Jared Guy, Alex Karapas, Wes Kartes, Jason McKelvey, and Brandon Trefil - from the 2015 squad.
