The Alma College Men's Tennis team kicked off its four-game road trip on Friday evening by defeating Franklin College 8-1 at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis, IN.
The win is the second-straight for the Scots, who begin the Spring season a perfect 2-0 after finishing September 0-4.
In doubles,Freshmen Grant Hill and Bryan Schutte dropped an 8-2 decision in first position but the tandem of So. Jared Guy and Sr. Joshua Gove got the Scots on the board with a 8-6 victory.
The duo Fr. Damian Arthur and So. Logan Beard were victorious in third position, 8-5, to give Alma two out of the three doubles matches.
The Scots dominated singles play, winning all six matches handily to claim the 8-1 victory on Friday evening.
Alma remains in the state of Indiana today, facing off against the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at 5 p.m.
