LF Blake Leddy (Saginaw, Mich./Swan Valley) doubled and was knocked in by Fr. C A.J. Acton's (Temecula, Calif./Linfield Christian) single.
Two runs by the Hornets and four by the Scots in the third made the score 6-6 after three innings. The big hit for Alma came from Leddy, who singled with the bases loaded, scoring So. RF Jose Velez (Tampa, Fla./S. Ft. Myers) and Schmidt.
From that point on, the Alma bats were quieted and the Scots were unable to score any more runs. The Hornets one in the fifth, four in the sixth and three in the seventh en route to the 14-6 victory. Kzoo hammered out 14 hits and Alma pitchers walked 10 batters and had four hit batsmen.
