Baseball loses two games at Albion on Thursday afternoon

The Alma College Baseball team traveled to Albion on Thursday and lost two games to the Brits by scores of 4-0 and 6-5. The Scots, who now stand at 11-27 overall and 8-18 in the league, will conclude their 2012 season on Friday when they host Albion for a Senior Day doubleheader at Klenk Park, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

In the first game, Sr. CF Ian Rhynard (Shepherd, Mich./Shepherd) led the Scots by going two for three, whileSr. P Donny Lee (Mt. Pleasant, Mich./GRCC) went the distance in the loss for Alma. He gave up just one earned run on seven hits during his outing.

The nightcap saw the Alma jump out to a 4-0 lead, only to come out on the wrong end of a 6-5 decision. In the batter's box, Lee was two for four with two RBI's, while Jr. 2B Matt Cresswell (St. Louis, Mich./St. Louis) was two for three with two RBI's. Jr. Ryan Henris (Saginaw, Mich./Nouvel Catholic) scored three runs and had an RBI in the loss.
