The Alma College Baseball team traveled to Kalamazoo College on Saturday afternoon for an MIAA doubleheader and came away with a split against the Hornets. The Scots took the first game by a score of 9-5, while Kzoo took the the nightcap 4-1. The two teams play another scheduled doubleheader on Sunday at Klenk Park beginning at 1:00 p.m.

In the first game, Sr. P Richard Schreiber (Grayling, Mich./Grayling) went the distance and gave up six hits and five earned runs in grabbing the victory. Jr. SS Ryan Henris (Saginaw, Mich./Nouvel Catholic) was two for four with an RBI and Sr. CF Ian Rhynard (Shepherd, Mich./Shepherd) had a two for four day with an RBI and two runs scored in the game one win.

Alma lost game two despite scoring a run in the top of the first on walks and a hit batter. Kalamazoo earned a 4-1 win and the Scots were only able to muster one hit in the game - a single to right by Rhynard - against the Hornets.
