Box Score The Alma Volleyball team defeated Trine University, 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-22), on Friday night at a raucous Art Smith Arena to improve to 6-2 in the MIAA and 12-4 overall. The three games, all highly competitive and entertaining, dropped the Thunder to 4-4 in the league and 9-9 on the 2011 season.
"I thought that we stayed up the whole time, transitioning well, and we did a good job of getting and keeping the momentum," said Alma Head Coach Sarah Dehring. "We need to do a better job of executing what their defense gives us. Tonight, we hit the ball a lot to them, letting them make plays. Adjustments for us will be a main component, as we play them again Tuesday."
