The Alma College Volleyball team, looking to break a two-game losing streak, took on host Adrian College on Saturday afternoon. The Scots were successful in their goal, as they beat the Bulldogs by a margin of 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22), improving to 7-4 in the league and 13-6 overall, while Adrian is now 3-7 in the MIAA and 4-17 in 2011.

Adrian was competitive throughout the three sets, the visiting Scots took care of business when it counted and walked off the court with the win. Alma was led by So. MH Rebecca Trosper's (Sterling Heights, Mich./Lutheran North) 11 kills, followed closely by So. MH Lea Klooster (Jenison, Mich./Jenison) and Jr. OH Katie Bourbonnais (Niles, Mich./Niles), who each had 10 on the afternoon.

Jr. S Kelsee Miles (Hanover, Mich./Hanover-Horton) paced the Scots with 29 assists in three sets, while Sr. DS Erica Adams (Milford, Mich./Milford) had 11 digs for the visitors. Bourbonnais, Miles and So. OH Kelly Maise (Northville, Mich./Northville) had eight, seven and seven digs respectively for Alma.

Alma continues play on Wednesday, when they host Albion College at Art Smith Arena, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
