Men's Golf finishes the 2011 Fall season in third place in the MIAA

The Alma College Men's Golf team completed their fall season on Saturday at Adrian's Lenawee Country Club. With today's results, the Scots finished third overall for the season and will be in competition for a NCAA Tournament berth. That competition, between the top four teams, will take place in the spring.

"I am so proud of our guys who have worked so hard to be in this position," said Alma Head Coach Ryan Duckworth. "This is a group that has fought through everything and now we have a chance to prepare over the winter and see where we can go from here. These guys have a chance to make an impact come this spring."

A third-place showing in Saturday's final MIAA Jamboree was enough for Hope to clinch the MIAA men's golf championship.

The Flying Dutchmen posted a team score of 299 during the final Jamboree at Adrian's Lenawee Country Club, four strokes behind Trine, to finish 19 strokes ahead of the Thunder in the final season standings.

The championship is the 10th for Hope in the last 13 years, dating back to 1999.
