The Scots Volleyball team traveled to Angola, Indiana on Tuesday evening and came out on the wrong end of a 3-1 decision (22-25, 25-21, 15-25, 22-25) against Trine University. The loss drops the Scots to 6-3 in the MIAA and 12-5 overall, while the Thunder is now 5-4 in the league and 10-9 on the 2011 season.

The Thunder took the first set by a margin of 25-22, and after the Scots evened the match with a 25-21 win in set two, the home team took control. Trine finished off Alma with wins in sets three and four by scores of 25-15 and 25-22 to capture the win.

Alma will next compete on Friday evening, when they host Hope College at Art Smith Arena. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
