The Alma Volleyball team hit the road on Tuesday to take on MIAA rival Hope College in an MIAA tilt. The Scots came out on the wrong end of a 3-0 match score (18-25, 16-25, 15-25) to run their overall 2010 record to 8-4 (3-1 MIAA), while the Dutch improved to 8-4 and 4-1 in the league.

Jr. MH Shelby Gray (Orchard Lake, MI/West Bloomfield) led the Scots with 11 kills, while Sr. S Hannah Hewitt (Harbor Springs, MI/ Harbor Springs Christian) paced the visitors with 15 assists. Sr. OH Stephanie Bradshaw (Livonia, MI/Churchill) had 13 digs for Alma in the loss.

The Scots will now play their next three matches at Art Smith Arena, beginning this Friday evening, when they host Saint Mary's College at 7:00 p.m. Alma will then come back the next afternoon to take on Albion College at the "Art", start time being 1:00 p.m.
