The Alma Volleyball team defeated Olivet College on Friday evening, 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 25-14), clinching a #3 seed for the upcoming MIAA Tournament. The Scots, now 12-3 in the league and 17-10 overall, conclude the regular season on Saturday afternoon, with a 1:00 p.m. match at Calvin.

"We are heading for a very good regular season finish and I am proud of what we have accomplished," said Scots Head Coach Cheyenne Luzynski. "I thought we played very well when we had to, and I am looking forward to our match at Calvin tomorrow. We have what it takes, our players want it, now it comes down to putting it together and trying to get a win." 

So. Katie Bourbonnais (Niles, MI/Niles) had 13 digs and 12 kills in the victory, while, Sr. S Hannah Hewitt (Harbor Springs, MI/Harbor Light Christian) had 39 assists. Jr. MH Shelby Gray (Orchard Lake, MI/West Bloomfield) added 14 kills, and Sr. OH Stephanie Bradshaw (Livonia, MI/Churchill) finished with 25 digs.

The Scots will host a first-round playoff game at Art Smith Arena on Tuesday evening, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
