Box Score 2 Alma's Volleyball team completed a great weekend on Saturday, even though they dropped the 1st Place match to host Mt. Union College by a score of 3-1. The Scots had won three previous matches by identical margins of 3-0, giving the the squad a 9-0 advantage going into the Championship.
"I am so proud of our girls and with the way they played this weekend," said Head Coach Cheyenne Luzynski. "We competed against some really tough teams and with having such a young squad, I am really satisfied with what we accomplished.
Alma begins league play on Tuesday, when they travel to Hope to take on the Lady Dutch and will have their first home match on Friday, September 11, when the Scots host MIAA rival Olivet College.The Scots defeated Case Western (3-0) and Defiance (3-0) on Friday, while defeating Oberlin (3-0) today before the 1st place match.
