The Alma Volleyball team hosted Albion College on Tuesday for the First Round of the 2008 MIAA Playoffs and came away with a 3-0 victory at Cappaert Gymnasium. Alma improved to 22-9 on the season with the win and now moves on in the league tournament.

The Scots won the match by scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-20 and advance to the league Semi-Finals on Friday against Calvin College. The game will start at 5:30 and will be at Hope College, the number one seed in the conference tournament.

On Tuesday, MH Kim Gillhespy (Cedar Springs MI) and OH Jennifer Drumm (Stanton, MI) led the way with 11 kills each, and S Hannah Hewitt (Alanson, MI) added 33 assists. 

If the Scots win on Friday, they will play the MIAA Championship at 4:00 p.m. at Hope College.
