The Alma Volleyball team traveled to south Michigan on Tuesday to take on MIAA rival Albion College and came away with a 3-1 victory (25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21). The win improved the Scots to 7-2 (and a second-place tie) in the MIAA and 15-6 overall on the 2008 season.
Kim Gillhespy had 16 kills, seven digs and two blocks, while Beth Caldwell had seven kills and 17 digs for the Scots. Hannah Hewitt led the Scots with 31 assists and dig numbers were led Katie Porter (32) and Stephanie Bradshaw (29).
Alma continues MIAA play on Thursday evening when they host Kalamazoo College at Cappaert Gymnasium, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
