The second place Alma Volleyball team hosted the first place Hope College Flying Dutch on Wednesday evening at Cappaert Gymnasium and dropped a hard fought 3-0 decision (19-25, 20-25, 17-25). With the loss, the Scots fell to 13-6 (5-2, MIAA) on the 2008 season while Hope improved to 17-3 (8-0, MIAA).

The Scots were led by S Hannah Hewitt who had 18 assists, MH Kim Gillhespy, who added 19 attack attempts and seven kills and OH Jennifer Drumm with six kills. Alma continues conference play on Friday evening when they host St. Mary's College at Cappaert, starting at 7:00 p.m.
