ALBION, Mich. - Alma volleyball started the MIAA portion of its schedule with a 3-0 sweep of Albion Wednesday (Sept. 6) in Albion by scores of 30-24, 30-18, 30-23.
Leading the Scots was Kaylee Sova (Freeland) who had 11 kills in three games with a hitting percentage of .318 for the match. Sova also added 13 digs to lead the Scots in that category as well. Kelsee Krull (Midland/Dow) led the Scots in digs wtih 13 for the match.
Betsy Bulthuis (Nunica/Spring Lake) and Kelsey Thompson (Morley/Morley-Stanwood) each added six kills while Mary Murdoch (Holland/West Ottawa) had 32 assists.
As a team, the Scots hit .292 for the evening.
Alma returns to action Sept. 12 when it hosts its first home match against Calvin College at 6:30 p.m. in Cappaert Gymnasium.
