ALMA, Mich. - Alma jumped out to a solid start Tuesday evening (Sept. 26) with a 30-27 game win against Hope College, but the Scots ultimately lost in five games to the Flying Dutch (27-30, 30-27, 30-21, 30-28, 13-15). Alma is now 5-9 on the season with a 2-4 mark in MIAA play.

Kaylee Sova (Freeland) led Alma with 22 kills while Betsy Bulthuis (Nunica/Spring Lake) had a hitting percentage of .333 with 13 kills. Mary Murdoch (Holland/West Ottawa) had 58 assists while Kelsee Krull (Midland/Dow) added 22 digs for the Scots.

Alma returns to action this weekend when it travels to Olivet College for a Sept. 30 match.
