The Alma College volleyball team opened its 2006 season Sept. 1 with a pair of losses at the Elmhurst College Volleyball Invitational.

The Scots lost to Wisconsin-Oshkosh, 30-24, 30-10, 30-17. Alma later lost to St. Benedict in five games, 28-30, 25-30, 30-27, 30-28, 15-11.

The Scots continue play in the Elmhurst Invitational Sept. 2 with a match against Chicago at noon followed by a 2 p.m. match against an opponent to be determined.
